Diablo DAS Hosts Student Recognition
DDAS was excited to host a special Student Recognition Event during Dental Assistants Recognition Week. The event was held on March 5th at Diablo Valley College and was free to all local dental assisting students. There was a great turn out from the Diablo Valley
College and Mt. Diablo Adult Ed-Loma Vista dental assisting programs. The students played games organized by the DVC SADAA group, enjoyed pizza and snacks, received goody bags and won raffle prizes courtesy of Melanie West (P&G) and were able to spend time networking and getting to know each other! It was truly a fun and informative evening.
Students had a chance to hear from a variety of dental professionals including; Rinku Saini, DDS, MS, MPH; Evangeline Ward, RDH, BS; Laura Dias, RDAEF, Melanie West of Proctor and Gamble Product Rep, and Stephanie Marquez, RDA, OMSA. Each speaker gave a short presentation on their role in dentistry as well as helpful tips and advice for the students as they enter into the dental field. It was definitely a great way to celebrate our hard-working students and DDAS looks forward to hosting similar events in the future!
