Nominating Committee Report
Wendy Pio, CDA, RDA
The election of 2021-2022 Officers for the CDAA will be held on April 17th at the Annual General Assembly. There are four Officers to be elected: President, First Vice-President, Second Vice-President and Secretary.
Only professional, life or special members are eligible to serve and shall have served as a voting member of the Board of Directors for one year. Specific duties of each officer can be found in the Manual of Procedures (MOP) and Bylaws 
The deadline to submit a nomination form is March 1st.  The form can be found on the CDAA website in Members Resources. If you are interested in serving as an officer, contact Chair Wendy Pio. Additional nominations will be taken from the floor the day of the meeting.

CDAA Leadership

2020-2021 CDAA Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is composed of the Executive Committee, Committee Chairs and one Director from each Local. It is the governing body of the Association. Local Directors are elected by their local organization to serve a term of two years, serving as liaison between the state and local organizations.

2020-2021 CDAA Executive Committee

The Executive Committee conducts and supervises the business of the Association between meetings of the Board of Directors. All actions are reported to the Board of Directors for approval.

Kelly Lennier


Kelly has 34 years’ experience in the dental field as a dental assistant, office manager and dental consultant. She is currently employed with Sutton Dental Group, Inc in Rohnert Park, CA.


Christy Burton

1st Vice-President


Christy has been an RDA for the past 22 years and got her dental assisting certificate from College of Marin in 1997.
She went back later to College of Marin for her Associate in Science Degree and graduated in 2013. She is currently working on her bachelors degree in social services.
She is employed full time at Dr. Kim Kaufmans in San Rafael, Ca where she has been for the past 15 years.

Zeña Delling


2nd Vice-President


Zeña attended San Diego Mesa College Dental Assisting Program in 1984. She has been in the field for 35 years and currently practices part-time as an RDA. She has her own business called J and Z Programs for Dentistry. She has been an Educator and a Consultant since 2006. Zeña is currently working on getting her AA in Business Management at Saddleback College and will be transferring to Cal State Fullerton to get her BA in Business Administration. She’s a member of CADAT, CDAA, CDA and the DAEGR’s. She is happily married with 3 children and a grandson.



Jennifer Bierschbach


Jennifer graduated from Citrus College in 2015, earning her RDA in 2017.  She is employed full-time in a general practice in Upland where she lives with her family.



Shari Becker

Immediate Past President

Shari is currently celebrating 32 years as a RDA and CDA.  She graduated from Modesto Junior College in 1985 with her Associate in Science Degree.  Over the years, she has been involved with national, state and local components of the American Dental Assistants Association.   Shari has her teaching credential in health occupations and has been an instructor for over 20 years.  She currently works full time for Dr. Stephen Snow and teaches part time at the Mt. Diablo Adult Education Loma Vista dental assisting program.
