Why Join CDAA?

Your membership dues help fund activities and resources that advance not only your own career as a Dental Assistant, but the Dental Assisting profession as a whole in the state of California. From advocacy to professional development, CDAA is constantly working to provide California’s dental assistants with the support they need to be effective in their roles. Your membership is an investment in your future!

Here are a few of the many benefits of being a CDAA member:
Advocacy: CDAA is your voice at the California Capitol, providing dental assistants with representation in the legislative process through a professional lobbyist and volunteers.

Education: Continuing education courses are offered through the year in live, virtual and homestudy formats – and at a discount to members.

Conference: Every year, we hold an annual conference filled with evidence-based programming, advocacy tips, and more to keep you informed and up-to-date on the best practices for dental assisting.

Credibility: Being a member of CDAA demonstrates your commitment to your profession, and a desire to stay current on the latest developments in the profession.

Leadership: The CDAA Board of Directors is voted on by our members, so you help determine the direction our organization takes. Additionally, we are always looking for active and retired members to serve on committees focused on advocacy, communications, the annual conference, outreach, and professional development.

Mentorship: CDAA supports new and current dental assistants moving to a different level of service through education, connection and personal support.

Professional Development: Throughout the year, CDAA and the Local Societies offers workshops, seminars/webinars, and other resources to help members continually grow and develop in their profession.

Recognition: Each year at our annual conference, CDAA honors outstanding dental assistants with various awards and honors.

Publications: Membership includes a subscription to the CDAA Journal, sent every other month to members.

Networking: Members have the opportunity to develop relationships with colleagues in the dental community.
