President's Message
January 2026
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed time off with friends and family. As we welcome the new year, we reflect with pride on the dedication, resilience, and compassion that define the dental assisting profession. Dental assistants continue to be the heart of the dental team. This new year brings fresh opportunities for growth, learning, and advocacy.
This year marks an important milestone as CDAA celebrates our one year of independence. Over the past twelve months, CDAA has strengthened our foundation, taken meaningful steps toward building an organization that truly reflects and serves the needs of our members in California.
In this past year, we are proud to welcome new and existing members into our dental community. CDAA has expanded their benefits and resources available to support dental assistants at every stage of their careers – from continuing education via Zoom or in-person meetings and offering professional development opportunities to our growing dental community.
As your President, I am committed to each and every one of you in the advancement of dental assisting and professional development within the dental community. As we move forward, CDAA remains focused on unity, growth, and continued progress—working together to elevate our profession and strengthen the future of dental assisting.
Warm Regards,
Christine Burton Macalino RDA, CDA. BA, FADAA
